The Certified Financial Planner (“CFP”) designation is awarded by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards to individuals who hold at least a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, have compiled at least 2,000 hours of financial planning experience, have completed a CFP board registered program or an alternative designation or degree, have passed a certification exam, and complete a minimum of 30 hours of continuing education every two years. The Retirement Income Certified Professional (“RICP”) designation is awarded by the American College to individuals who have compiled at least three years of professional experience, have completed three courses administered by the American College including a satisfactory score on a final course exam, and complete a minimum of 15 hours of continuing education every two years. The Chartered Life Underwriter (“CLU”) designation is awarded by the American College to individuals who have compiled at least three years of full time business experience during the five year preceding the designation award, have completed a total of eight courses administered by the American College including a satisfactory score on a final course exam, and complete a minimum of 30 hours of continuing education every two years. On January 1, 2023, Howard Bailey Financial, Inc. and Howard Bailey Securities, LLC (together “Howard Bailey”) and Legends / JMI Rights Holders (“Rights Holders”) entered into an agreement wherein Howard Bailey receives sponsorship rights, including use of the designations “Official Wealth Management Partner of Notre Dame Athletics” and “Proud Partner/Sponsor of Notre Dame Athletics” and other Notre Dame trademarks for use in Howard Bailey advertising. Howard Bailey will also receive other benefits, including advertising placements on University of Notre Dame Athletics websites, advertisements at University of Notre Dame Athletics events, and promotional events at University of Notre Dame Athletics events. As consideration for this agreement, Howard Bailey will pay Rights Holders a fee until the end of 2029. This fee will be $41,666.66 per month, increasing to $62,500 per month and $83,333.33 per month in 2026 and 2028 respectively.
