You might often see headlines of an impending retirement crisis in your future, but rest assured, you will more than likely fare just fine. Recent statistics show today’s retirees are financially better off than some reports show, and eight in ten claim they are financially comfortable.

Step outside your comfort zone: What does this mean for you? If you have secured a retirement plan you feel confident about, it’s time to enjoy the fruits of your labor. For many, this might feel wrong or unnatural after spending decades saving, minimizing debt and making choices that allow you to economize your money. However, as the author states here, this is your opportunity to replace “or” with “and”. Book the bigger hotel room AND take the once-in-a-lifetime excursion. Become a snow bird AND fly your children and grandchildren over for a visit.
