FORT WAYNE, IN – As part of its HB Gives initiative, Howard Bailey Financial is warming up the holiday season by partnering with the Volunteer Center for its annual Coats for Kids drive throughout the month of November. In an effort to help local kids stay warm during the winter, Howard Bailey is inviting community members to drop off gently used or new children’s coats. For each coat donated, Howard Bailey will provide a new hat and gloves, ensuring kids have the essentials to face the colder months ahead.

“We believe in taking care of our community, and one of the ways we can do that is by helping children stay warm this winter,” said Steve Salcedo, Chief Marketing Officer at Howard Bailey. “We know that for some families, the colder months bring added challenges. Through this effort, we’re making sure more children have what they need to enjoy the season comfortably.”

Donations will be accepted during regular business hours at each of the firm’s Fort Wayne office located at 5916 Covington Rd. The coat drive will run through Friday, November 29.

According to the Volunteer Center, one in five children in Allen County lives in poverty, with families working to make ends meet but unable to provide basic needs for their children. Last year, Howard Bailey worked in partnership with the Volunteer Center and helped collect donations and raise funds so that over 8,000 coats could be distributed to children in the region. Howard Bailey is asking the community to step up once again this year and help make the season a little warmer for children and families in need.

Monetary donations can be made online with $25 providing a new coat, hate, scarf and mittens o the Coats for Kids drive.
