You can have financial goals, professional goals and as is the focus here, health goals; but goal-setting is an art, so here are several tips to keep in mind if you’re looking to elevate your lifestyle in 2023:

📌 Begin modestly if you are a beginner: Maybe you want to incorporate an exercise routine. Get to know your body’s rhythm first instead of going too far and risking injury. If you need to increase the strenuous factor soon thereafter, you can.

📌 Do your own thing: In other words, don’t choose the latest health fad because it’s popular, but set goals that are fulfilling for you.

📌 Add structure: Goals should be intentional, not random. So how many push ups would you like to be able to do after the first quarter of the year? Set an amount and focus on it.

📌 Make a digital (or physical) index card: List your goals, make them precise and don’t feel like you need a long list. Keep them in front of you daily as a reminder of what you’re working toward and why.

📌 Embrace failure: It “reminds us how valuable success is." And the good news? You can always try again.

Set S.M.A.R.T. goals: When your goals are Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant and Time-Bound, you are more likely to remain focused on them and gain momentum along the way.
